15th February 2010 - EWIS and SMS Lite courses

EVAS will soon offer Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS) courses, initially for AMC 20-22 Appendix A Target Groups 1 & 2 (Group 1 is qualified staff performing EWIS maintenance; Group 2 is qualified staff performing inspections on EWIS systems). Safety Management Systems (SMS) Lite course will also follow shortly. Please visit the Training Courses page for updates and course outlines that will be added shortly.

09th February 2010 - GE Sensing

Malcolm Welsby, an EVAS Associate, ran a series of Human Factors Continuation Training sessions for GE Sensing (Druck Ltd) at Groby, Leicester on January 21st 2010.

07th December 2009 - AeroMobile

AeroMobile have been granted their EASA Part 145 AMO approval by the UK CAA. EVAS is very happy to have helped AeroMobile by writing their MOE and providing the necessary Part 145 regulations and HF training. We wish all at AeroMobile success in the future.

14th November 2009 - Highland Airways

EVAS has been contracted by Highland Airways to provide assistance in support of their Part M Subpart G Continued Airworthiness functions at their Inverness facility. EVAS looks forward to its association with the team at Highland Airways over the coming months.

19th October 2009

During a recent programme of courses covering FTS 1 & 2, Human Factors and Stores conducted in Dubai under the patronage of ExecuJet Middle East in Dubai, EVAS welcomed delegates from Jet Aviation and Empire Aviation of Dubai; and Royal Jet of Abu Dhabi.

30th September 2009 - ExecuJet and RBI Hawker

ExecuJet Middle East in Dubai and RBI Hawker have contracted EVAS to provide Stores, FTS PH 1 & 2, and HF Continuation Training in October at their facilities in Dubai. These courses are to be run consecutively and costs associated with transport and accommodation will be shared between the two customers. This is a cost-effective way of obtaining our services. Other options include one party acting as a sponsor and offering spare places to other co-located organisations to recover a portion of the costs.

21st September 2009 - Open Access Courses

Eden Valley Airworthiness Services has scheduled a variety of open-access courses at Irvine, near Prestwick for early November 2009.

09th August 2009 - Axis Electronics

Axis Electronics Ltd has contracted EVAS to provide the MOE, training and consultancy in support of their application for approval under Part 145. Axis Electronics manufactures sub-assemblies forming part of the technology used to enable the use of mobile telephones in passenger aircraft.

28th July 2009 - Hangar 8

Eden Valley Airworthiness Services now provides auditing services to Hangar 8 for a fixed annual cost paid in monthly instalments. The agreement – a version of TACO (Training Audit Consultancy Options) - covers audits of Hangar 8’s CAMO and contracted maintenance providers in the UK.

RBI Hawker, based at Jebel Ali, Dubai, is a GCAA and EASA-approved maintenance organisation specialising in rotor blades. Eden Valley Airworthiness Services is providing Part 145 overview and Human Factors training in support of their Part 145 approval and an increase in capability.

24th April 2009 - New Customers

Eden Valley Airworthiness Services is pleased to announce recent agreements to provide services to The Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford (ARCo) and Helivation Ltd at Blackpool.

ARCo is a renowned leader in the restoration and operation of a variety of historic aircraft. Eden Valley Airworthiness Services is providing training to support the extension of their maintenance and continuing airworthiness approvals to cover EASA Part M Subparts F & G.

Helivation is a new charter organisation operating a variety of helicopters. Eden Valley Airworthiness Services is providing training to support their EASA Part M Subpart G CAMO functions as an AOC holder.

We provide training, audit and consultancy services to other customers such as Stapleford Flight Centre at Stapleford Tawney Airfield in Essex and Hangar 8 at Oxford Airport.

07th April 2009 - Eden Valley Airworthiness Services and Vector Aircraft Services' Agreement

Eden Valley Airworthiness Services and Vector Aircraft Services have agreed to cooperate across a range of continuing airworthiness, audit and training activities. Based in Irvine, Scotland, Vector Aircraft Services is a Part M Subpart G approved Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation currently controlling a range of aircraft types for customers around the world.

Vector Aircraft Services can assist in procurement, survey and entry into service of aircraft; produce maintenance programmes, control and retain records, plan maintenance activities, issue or recommend the issue of Airworthiness Review Certificates and offer a range of other services to ensure private or commercial operators remain in compliance with EASA Part M. Vector can also produce Minimum Equipment Lists, RVSM compliance statements and other operational documents that owners and operators require.

26th March 2009 - EASA

On March 24th EASA published three Decisions – 2009/006/R, 2009/007/R and 2009/008/R for Parts M, 145 and 66 respectively - covering the knowledge and training requirements for CDCCL/FTS. The Decisions affecting Parts M and 145 also specify the level of training and compliance times for Phase 1 & Phase 2 FTS training. It is important to note that you are not required to receive Phase 2 training prior to working on affected systems (within the flexible period).

22nd January 2009 - New Contractors & Freelancers courses

We can now offer contractors or other freelancers the opportunity to receive training at reasonably convenient locations. It has to do with the numbers; if you and your colleagues require Human Factors or other training, try to assemble a group of greater than 10 – but we will consider fewer - and we will see what we can do.

5th January 2009 - Regulation changes

AMOs maintaining EASA aircraft
CAA Exemption E2610 expires on January 5th 2009. Organisations not approved under EASA Part M Subpart F or Part 145 cannot use their UK CAA national approvals to issue Certificates of Release to Service for EASA aircraft henceforth.

Non-commercial large aircraft
CAA Exemption E2606 expires on January 5th 2009. Owners of such aircraft are now obliged to contract a CAMO to manage these aircraft.

Non-commercial aircraft
CAA Exemption 2591 expires on January 5th 2009. Organisations approved under BCAR A8-3 Supplement 2, BCAR A8-15 or the BBAC holding CAA special approval can no longer issue a recommendation to the UK CAA to issue an ARC.
